Zainab’s Prime 9 Style Moments in Season 2
As the finale of Season 2 of An African City draws close (airs this sunday here) I thought it only right that I share my favorite looks from Zainab this season. Our stylist Afua Rida did an amazing job making sure that each character slayed in their own unique lane.
Here are my top 8 looks (I have images for) from Zainab this season:
Zainab rocked this colorful beaded shift dress by Mina Evans in episode 11. I loved the ease of this dress and the punch of the print.
Loved this duo print jumpsuit by Ohema Ohene from Episode 11 with royal blue wedges by MoSaique. Zainab was sitting down in the entire scene so you couldn’t really get the full glory of the print blocking.
Another Ohema Ohene classic. Zainab wore this dress in Episode 3 to a funeral. It fit like a glove! and felt so elegant.
StudioOneEightyNine is one of my favorite brands on the scene and this jacket was such a joy to rock! So versatile and rocked here with this fly Totally Ethnik skirt, shoes by MoSaique and purse by Myth House (I actually ended up buying this purse for myself. It’s amazing!)
This scene was shot in the Mina Evans flagship store and it was only right i rocket this high waisted midi shirt by the brand paired with a red jeweled neckline crop jacket by AKE. Shoes by Mosaique
How fun is this dress. I love a print on print outfit and Choolips does not disappoint with this vibrant hand dyed dress. The designer (who is a dear friend) gifted this piece to me and I’ve rocked it in many ways including as a jacket.
Sneak peek!!This looks shows up in the season finale on sunday and it’s the perfect look for the setting. Featuring two designers that make their clothes in Ghana and employ local talent it is in complete synergy with Zainabs company and the decisions she has to make in the last episode. Skirt by one of my favs Osei-Duro and water color crop top by Ameyo
